Das Island Based – Contract Hire


         

              Scope of Duties:

 

·         The Successful candidate must be experienced in directing, coordinating and controlling the activities assigned to Contractors personnel, to ensure all Rigging, Scaffolding and Craneage required for the LNG Plant and associated facilities are performed safely, according to prescribed standards of quality and at the most economic cost.

·          Coordinate the daily running of Rigging, Scaffolding and Crane-age work through the Term Maintenance Contract Foremen. Includes planning and scheduling routine work, responding to emergency work in conjunction with Planning Engineer.

          Ensures the standard and quality of work executed by Term Maintenance Contractor.  Including erection/dismantling of scaffolding, routine rigging/lifting services etc.

          Submits written reports on quality of Contractor’s services to ensure correct allocation of labor/materials cost, etc.

            Prepare daily report on Term Maintenance Contractor listing the jobs in progress and category and number of worked allocated to each job, so that compliance with Term Maintenance Contract can be verified.

          Provides opportunities for training and development of employees under his direction.

           Minimum Requirements:

   Completion of Secondary Technical Education (12 years) or equivalent.

      8 years experience in Rigging & Scaffolding in the oil and refining or petrochemical industry including at least 3 years supervisory experience.

         Good spoken English. Ability to write technical reports with minimum guidance.

          Remuneration Package:

 ·         Salary is negotiable

           Work/Leave cycle:  38/25 (i.e. 38 days ‘on’ Das followed by 25 days ‘off’

           Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on the Island
